Resound GN hearing aids causing problems with iPhone microphone

My hearing aids are connected to my iphone11 via Bluetooth. The phone is a recent purchase, refurbished and works well for everything except the microphone during calls. I stream phone calls to my hearing aids and now find with this new phone that callers can’t hear me. I’ve had the microphone checked and it’s good. Any advice anyone?

Same here. No I have found no fix but my InnoCaption app will not work with Resound aids. Innocaption knows but hasn't found a good fix yet. The best workaround they can offer is to turn off BlueTooth, and do the conversation via Speaker

good luck

As I get older the eyesight, hearing and mobility go downhill. But I’m blessed that someone calls every day to check on me.  He’s from India and very concerned about my car warranty

I just went to have my Resound Hearing Aids reconfigured and there was an upgrade, after the upgrade people couldn't hear me when I was connected to my hearing aids. I called Apple Support and they had me do a variety of steps that are not important because none of them worked. They even did a remote diagnostics and just said I needed to update my software. Then as my phone was updating she said said "I think you can handle the rest from here" and my microphone still doesn't work. I'm on a iPhone 13.

This was added by Apple in a more recent update and is causing this very issue, and its not working well with many hearing aids.

Triple click the side button on the phone (on off button) to open Hearing Devices menu, scroll down to the bottom and turn off Mic Input. Alternatively, you can swipe down from the top right of the phone to open the control center, tap on the icon that looks like an ear, and scroll down to turn off Mic Input.

me too! In the past 2 years, my Resounds have never worked well with my iPhone 12.

No one seems to know why. My audiologist says to send them to Resound for overhaul. Did that, twice, and they come back with the same poor quality and iphone issues. If you use the InnoCaption app, and find your Mic won't work, call Resound. Resound DOES have a setting to disable that should fix that issue. (sorry i can't remember it)

But overall I've had iPhones and Resounds since 2020 I've been very disappointed

Good Luck
