Google contact profile photos aren't syncing to iPhone

"I've noticed an inconsistency in the synchronisation of Google contact profile photos to my iPhone. While some contacts have successfully synced with their respective profile photos, there are several contacts where the profile photos are missing on my iPhone. I have verified that the contacts with missing profile photos do have associated photos in my Google account. I've also confirmed that the contacts and their profile photos are visible and up to date when accessed directly through my Google account. However, these profile photos are not reflecting in the contact list on my iPhone. How can I resolve this issue and ensure that all Google contacts, including their profile photos, sync correctly to my iPhone? Any guidance or troubleshooting tips would be highly appreciated."

Did you file a bug report on this with Apple? I also have a similar, maybe worse, issue. I have a contact photo for some period of time, then gone. For me we were in turkey for two weeks. Added all the relatives to contacts, with photos. Worked fine for two weeks.

Just noticed now none of them have contact photos 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️ on my iPhone or in google contacts.

i have disable contact syncing with any other accounts / sources (including iCloud) to avoid cross account sync issues where only some info goes to some accounts
