Ios 17 old contact photos disappeared

I Recently updated to Ios 17 on my iPhone 14 pro and my old contact photos disappeared any idea what could be wrong? They were fine before the update.

Contact photos is working on my other iPhone without ios 17.

Perhaps this a glitch?

Not able to delete contact photos on ios 17 I can’t seem to find an option to delete a contact photo. My iPhone lets me edit a contact photo but not remove the current photo. This might be very dumb but I’m new to ios. Thanks in advance.

Photos disappeared from contact info photos after 16.2 update Yesterday I went to a conversation to view the photos between myself and the contact. There were hundreds of pictures that I was able to view, some of which I forgot we’d exchanged so it was nice to see them. My phone updated last night and today when I went to grab a photo from that contact, I noticed that MOST of the photos are now not present. I have six years worth of texts between myself and this person. I don’t want to have to scroll through literal years to find a few pictures that I wanted to keep. Why can’t I just simply view them like before? Here is a screenshot of what I’m talking about when I said contact pictures/conversation pictures.

Same for me on my MacBook pro. That has been happening for a little while now. I can not get the picture to show back up. It’s only on 1 contact but it’s annoying. Just started happening on my iPad Pro and iPhone 14 Pro. But if i close the app out and reopen it it comes back.

It works for me now after ios 17.01 update,

i also toggled with contacts in iCloud sittings

Toggled which settings specifically? Update did not help me.
