Messages icon not showing as a sharing option in Preview app

Trouble shooting:

Signed out of iCloud, Messages, and rebooted.

Moved Messages icon to the top of Extensions list:

But Messages icon does not appear as a sharing option in Preview app.

In the Preview.app — I do not use Messages on this Mac, however it shows as an option non-the-less....

The current stable release of Ventura including bug fixes, security updates is macOS Ventura 13.4 I would start there and compare your results...

Do you know what causes this icon in your screen shots? It's not in Leroy's or mine. Try booting into Safe Mode and see if it appears. How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support
