Ventura 13.3.1a breaks printing (network and USB)

Upgraded to the 13.3.1a patch. Printing, which had worked fine for my Brother MFC laser printer/scanner, no longer works.

Computer acts like it's printing, but the queue shows "Printing - finished page 1." indefinitely. Nothing actually prints. Also tried a direct USB connection, which produced the same results.

Printing works fine on an identical MacBook Air that's still running 13.2.1.

For now my workaround is using a standalone app from Brother ("Brother iPrint&Scan"), which does work. But it only accepts certain file types.

What does Brothers say about the compatibility issue...?
