QuickLook shows old version of .docx document

I have the same issue, nobody is able to tell me why. Quick Look View shows a super old version of this document, despite it being moved and saved multiple different times. When opened in word it is the version I have made. It is very strange but my boss keeps viewing documents I am sending to some of our clients and it is showing another clients logo and being unhappy. I tell him that it's just quick look. How do I fix this???

Did more testing here with Pages v13 and Word 16.72 on Ventura 13.3.1 (a). It appears that Quick Look is not dynamically triggered to update its view when the application's autosave updates the document changes. Instead, you will need to close and reopen the Quick Look view on the affected document to see the changes.

I would expect this to be the case on older versions of macOS such as Monterey or Big Sur too.

Not sure how that could happen. When you open the file in Word are the changes there?

Don't see how that could happen.. If you saved the file to disk and selected the file and pressed the space bar, the same file would open in Quick Look.

Well, try saving the file with a different name and see if you still have the problem.

Either you manually save your Word changes, or you enable Turn on AutoSave by default in Word's Preferences > Save panel. Otherwise, Quick Look will not reflect your updated Word document changes.

Does this happen with only one .docx file? If so, the changes aren't being saved.

Interesting. It never occurred to me someone would leave Quick Look open while making changes to a document and expect the changes would be reflected in the still open Quick Look.
