ipad pro mdm removed still getting ipad cannot be restored unknown error (9)

I got my company ipad when I got fired. They have removed the mdm for me. However, it is impossible to restore the ipad! I had to go to recovery mode because I could not get to 'find my ipad' to turn that off. And it goes for a while, updating and stuff. And then it all ends in 'this ipad cannot be restored, unknown error (9)'

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Follow the instructions in the Related Article above; if you already tried them, use the 'contact us' link.

If you encounter the activation lock, the company would need to remove it, or ask Apple to and provide proof of purchase.

If you backed your iPad up to your iCloud while it was managed, you will not be able to use that backup to restore the device. MDM is embedded in the backup of iOS and iPadOS devices.
