Screentime STILL RESETTING every couple of hours - WE TRIED EVERYTHING. APPLE - TIME IS UP

It's been since the fall of 2022 (approx.) and screentime on both of our kids ipads STILL resets every couple of hours no matter what we do. Not only that, but deleted apps come back or the kids can reinstall despite blocking the app store because it keeps resetting! Sometimes just the downtime turns off, the app limits almost always dissapear, and the content restrictions OFTEN reset to factory default of allowing everything. I block safari, it comes back, I delete youtube, it comes back. No matter what, restrictions dissapear and I am locked in a time consuming battle.

I have changed the access codes countless times. I have updated all of our device's software numerous times. I have done factory resets on all devices numerous times. I have logged in and out of every device numerous times. I have turned purchase approval for kids on and off on each and every device, for each kid, numerous times. I have tried only setting the screentime settings on the kid's ipads themselves. I have tried only using my device or my husband's device. It doesn't matter what I do, almost everything resets within several hours to a day at max. Thesettings that reset may be everything or just downtime and app limits or content restrictions or some combination therein.

The need to go in and readjust every setting on both ipads for both kids (11 and 7) every single day, multiple times a day, is INSANE and completely negates the usefulness of screentime. I lock my kids devices up at night and when not in use, but I need to be able to at leat be comfortable with them using it during their time. I work full time, as does my husband. This is an issue that is not acceptable, nor should it be for any parent to have to contend with in today's day and age of technology.

This so called "glitch" ultimately allows my children to have access to content I don't want my kids to have. i.e. the safari app reappears despite being turned off and the allowed wesbites setting set to allowed websites only, turns to allow everything. And thus my kids now have unrestricted access to the internet. Yes I have basic protections on our router, but there are still things that I don't want my 7 year old or 11 year old to be able to access that aren't blocked by simple firewall and router security measures.

And no it's not the kids doing it because EVERYTHING resets including book settings. Last I checked my kids didn't care about access to explicit books. Furthermore, when it does work, they send requests for time and access. Why? Because they can't change it because they don't know how. They both have told me they just have to send the request a few times and then wait a while and eventually everything will "work again" for them without time limitations.

This is entirely unacceptable. It's a basic function of these devices. It's the reason we have used these devices for so long. For those wondering, yes I bought an iphone 14 pro in late 2022 and my husband got the iphone 14 at the end of 2022/beginning of 2023. So, if that is the cause, I deeply regret it now - but seriously folks, there is literally no reason that should negate an essential element of these devices.

A failure to respond and proplerly and sufficiently fix this critical bug/glitch by apple after this many months is unacceptable. I have spent hours on the phone with support and they have walked it up the chain. NOTHING has worked. This needs to be a priority that is fixed, now.

As a two parent working household, that wants to allow access to screens to our kids - this is a waste of time and energy that causes way too many fights. Furthermore, with one child having special needs, this is not a fight I need in my life. Apple, it's been long enough, take responsibility, stop taking our money and start fixing these issues. Now.

PS They don't even have screentime as an option for topic of discussion...

I have done that and spent HOURS on the phone with apple support and had it escalated through the ranks while support searched for answers but ultimately could only offer what I had already done and added in the reset apple purchase approval requirement for the kids - which I did. This tends to keep the content age for longer but things still reset and app limits and downtime always reset and content restrictions still change or reset randomly. I spent many hours over many days trying to get help. but even escalated support couldn't ultimately fix this issue. And from what I see on the forums, others continue to struggle with this as well. Mainly since the iphone 14 came out from what I can see...
