fraudulent credit card charges by apple bill

i saw fraudulent "apple bill" charges on my credit card. i called immediately apple support to report it, found out the charges are from another acct. i told it was fraudulent and can they just pls cancel or removes those charges but they NEVER called or emailed me back regarding the complaint until i called them today and i was told the dispute was denied. i was like "HOW COME?! it was clearly fraudulent and apple could just remove the fraud acct or cancel the app or product the fraudulent charge was". did anyone experienced the same??

Because the card is attached to the Apple ID on the iPhone. The fraudulent charges are coming through Apple, using the card without the owner knowing until the charges start appearing on the statement. This is my second time having to change my bank accounts because of Apple lack of security. Of course, they don’t want to refund the money. The convenience isn’t worth the hassle and loss of money anymore to me. Every time I go to the bank there are other people trying to get the Apple charges off as well. There is definitely a data breach somewhere.

It’s important for people to take personal responsibility and educate themselves on technology they utilize. The information is available on Apple’s website and many stores may offer classes for free. But people need to be willing to learn about the technology they use.

If explaining how an aspect of Apple Pay works is defending Apple, then I’m guilty. I volunteer my time and energy to help fellow Apple users. I’m retired and have been for several years.

I also worked in the financial industry and have experience in this area. I spend a lot of my time trying to help and educate others on the financial technology they use daily.

I hope you can resolve your issue to your satisfaction and I’m happy to assist, if I can.

So they say. Many people out here don’t know how to use their Apple devices properly. That is one thing I can say about Apple that I don’t like. Every device should require a tutorial before it can be used. The repercussions and consequences are too risky otherwise. I see this with my clients all the time. I can’t reach them or get information to them because they don’t know how to use their phones and everyone is forcing them to have to do it . Technology has grown so quickly over such a short period of time. It would be easy for any subpar hacker to take advantage of that opportunity. I know I had to be taught how to find all of my charges and my subscriptions. Having said that now I know how to check. It is definitely a breach somewhere. My sister and her husband used to win awards from Apple for contests they won, hacking into the software. There are always up-and-coming people who are smarter than the ones before. It very well could be the bank because it is a credit union and a small organization comparatively. I can understand why you would want to defend Apple because you were a former store manager for them. However, with the current state of the world and all the “ fake news“ from both sides of the American political system and beyond, it seems to me that anything is possible anymore. It would not surprise me at all one day, if all of our bank accounts were empty. My father, who came from Brazil, experienced that twice in his lifetime, and they reprinted all of the money.
