I am traveling and have now connected another eSIM on my iPhone 14pro (I now have this international sim and my ATT sim from the US). Is there a way I can turn on airplane mode only for the ATT sim? I do not want to be charged for this line while I am abroad but I still want to be able to get iMessages and FaceTimes to my ATT number.

You can turn off the line and still use iMessage
I have 2 plans, just turned off my primary line and I was able to send a iMessage with the primary line number.
I see, that migth have happned to mee to, I just sent a message in an ongoing thread and asked if it still shown as beeing sent from my primary number, but it migth have been hard to see that the "number" changed

I tried turning off the primary line and doing that but the number goes away from iMessage
Did you try to just send a message when you turned it off?
That is what I did to test, and it was sent and received
It was sent from my icloud email and not my ATT phone number
