Word suggestions & Emoji Icons no longer appear on touchbar when typing!

When typing in any program I used to be able to type a word OR a word for an emoji and immediately get a suggestion on the touchbar - either on how to spell the word or emoji options for the word. (ex. smh would give me a 🤦‍♀️ emoji which I could tap and keep on typing. Now that function is gone, including the word suggestions. I have checked my touchbar settings and all seems to be correct. I also restarted my machine. I can't figure out where they went? I am hoping this is user error and not some sort of recent update. Any guidance is appreciated. I love my touchbar! Thanks!

You can try from Activity Monitor.app >Force Quit the "EmojiFunctionRowIM" process

Then retry tap on the emoji icon on TouchBar to start again.

click open the process and Quit>ForceQuit
