Whenever I'm on a FaceTime call, the volume of other windows reduces significantly

Whenever im on a facetime call, the volume of other windows, eg if they are playing youtube, reduces significantly and i cannot increase it until i end the facetime call. ive seen people say to untick the audio docking button however this does not help

ive also seen people mentioning pasting a specific link somewhere but it seemed to complex for me, so i wanted to know if there was something available in settings itself
