Volume Slider in Control Centre iPhone 14 Pro Max is operating backwards | Volume Slider has abruptly begun working.

The behavior of the volume slider has been inverted. The volume slider in the control center is reversed. The slider should ideally move higher to increase volume, but in this situation, I have to slide downwards to raise the volume and upwards to lower volume. To mute, I eventually have to slide the bar upwards. Please provide a solution. This type of problem is not expected in iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Extremely unsatisfactory!

Hey rathi80,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. The information below may help.

Powering off the iPhone and powering back on has resolved some software related issues. If you haven't already, restart by following the steps below or in this article: Restart your iPhone.

1. Press and hold the top button until the power-off slider appears.
2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo.

If restarting doesn't help, make sure your iPhone 14 Pro Max is up-to-date by opening Settings app > tap General > tap Update Software. Make sure the iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi. If it shows iOS 16.4.1, your device is up-to-date.

For more details about updating the iOS software, check out this article: Restart your iPhone.

Take care.
