I turned off sound recognition and that fixed it

Powering off the iPhone and powering back on has resolved some software related issues. If you haven't already, restart by following the steps below or in this article: Restart your iPhone.

1. Press and hold the top button until the power-off slider appears.

2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.

3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo.

If restarting doesn't help, make sure your iPhone 14 Pro Max is up-to-date by opening Settings app > tap General > tap Update Software. Make sure the iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi. If it shows iOS 16.4.1, your device is up-to-date.

This volume happens on my iPhone 13 Pro arbitrarily. Powering it off and back on again doesn’t resolve the issue. I don’t know what circumstances I do to fix it. It seems as if it’s just time it starts acting as it should. I don’t like the “it will eventually go away” answer.

Do you have any suggestions, other power cycling?

Same issue on iPhone 13. Frustrating!
