Unable to adjust Studio Display brightness with keyboard anymore

Recently noticed my StudioDisplay brightness control doesn't work with the keyboard key. I plug it into an M1 Max MacBook Pro and I use the Logitech MX Keys, but neither the laptop or external keyboard keys will change the brightness. They only change the brightness on the laptop's screen. Tested it out with another MacBook Air M1 and same issue. I can change the brightness of the display using the control center but that isn't as convenient as the keys. Anyways it was working fine before until recently. My guess is it's some problem caused by the most recent macOS update? Anyone else have this issue? I've already tried unplugging everything, checking settings, etc.

Use the control key with the brightness key and see if that will work

Hiya

There are a few things you can try to fix the issue with your StudioDisplay brightness control:

Reset the NVRAM/PRAM on your Mac: Shut down your Mac, then turn it on and immediately press and hold the Option-Command-P-R keys together until you hear the startup sound twice. This resets the NVRAM/PRAM, which can sometimes fix issues with hardware settings.
Reset the SMC on your Mac: Shut down your Mac, then press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Release the button, then turn on your Mac again. This resets the SMC, which can sometimes fix issues with hardware functions.
Check for any firmware updates for your StudioDisplay: Visit the Apple Support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your StudioDisplay.
Try a different keyboard: If the issue persists, try using a different keyboard to see if the problem is with your Logitech MX Keys.

Not sure if you even took the time to read the post but this is an M1 MacBook Pro therefore your first two steps are pointless. Tried 2 computers already and same issue therefore I've already technically tested out 3 keyboards. And display firmware is up to date. Frankly, not a very good answer but thanks.
