Calendar not synching events older than 6 months from my Yahoo calendar

My Calendar (Version 11.0 (2855.6.1) running in Monterrey 12.6.5) is still not synching events older than 6 months from my Yahoo calendar. This is also happening on my iPad and my iPhone. I can see calendar events going back many, many years on the browser (Safari) view of my Yahoo, but only the most recent 6 months appear Apple devices. How can I set the Mac Calendar app to sync all events?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.6

Yahoo explained that they make calendar data available to third parties using the CalDav protocol. Simple as that. Yahoo insists that they do not throttle or limit their data in any way.

Not surprisingly, Apple says virtually the same thing. As is so often the case these days, users like me are stuck in the middle. Very disappointing.

Almost a year ago I traveled a long way down this path. At the end was a bunch of data and evidence that got turned over to "engineering." My Apple support rep told me not to expect anything too soon, but that some future version update would fix the problem. I have kept all my Apple devices up to date, but with every passing day, calendar events from 6 months ago drop off my calendar apps. Really sucks.

Good afternoon VResor,

If you are able to update your macOS, that might help with your Calendar issue.

Also, as a test, you might want to enable iCloud Calendar (which is an Apple service) on your Mac and make an appointment that is 8 months old and see if it remains in the Calendar. This will confirm whether the issue is with the Calendar app or the Yahoo account.

Keep your calendars up to date and share them with iCloud

Hello VResor,

Since the yahoo account is syncing only 6 months on all of your Apple devices, we recommend you reach out to Yahoo in order to get this issue resolved. There may be a setting that needs to be updated on the server or website. You can contact them here: Help for Technical Support
