I have just bought a new Samsung A52s phone. Android file transfer just will not connect. I have tried everything - several cables, several restarts of both phone and Macbook, trying with every app closed.Nothing seems to work.
Incidentally on one thread someone suggested checking the start up items. I can't even find startup items in the system preferences.
Does anyone have any ideas please?
I couldn't find any system compatibility requirements except 10.7 and higher. That was a long time ago. It doesn't appear to need any drivers installed, so the age of the software probably isn't an issue.

One of them was checking the cable and ports. If connecting through a hub, try direct-connecting to a port on the Mac. An adaptor is ok, just not any sort of hub.

They might have meant Login Items which is under General.
Is the transfer software up to date?
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the android file transfer app yes. Also nw removed all Login items (thanks for that info)
