How in Mail on my iMac can I retrieve messages that I deleted by accident ?

You can select mails Mac keyboard shortcuts - Apple Support in trash and again move to Move or copy emails between mailboxes in Mail on Mac - Apple Support the inbox before 30 days as mails will be erased permanently after 30 days .
I had deleted everything from Trash, Junk and, unfortunately, Archive so that everything is gone. I have Time Machine and back-ups on a Seagate drive but I'm not sure how to retrieve the emails from the Seagate. When I go there it tells me it can't because it's on Time Machine and I have the impression that only the Mail app is saved and not the actual emails.
