CSV missing column labels when exporting passwords from Chrome into Safari

Hi there, I've exported my Chrome passwords into a CSV file to import into Safari however I'm receiving the following message when trying to import the file: 'Safari could not import passwords from the CSV file because it is missing column labels' - can anyone help me? Thank you!

After trying many things with no success (always getting the error that the passwords could not be imported because of the format of the CSV), I wanted to get the "basic" case possible. So I went to the Passwords settings in Safari and exported what I have. This saves a CSV with my current passwords (so I thought the CSV format would be the expected one for importing). I opened this file in Numbers and removed all the rows minus one, which I edited to add a "test", like this: Now, when I try to import this one I also get the same error: I also tried different things like filling the OTPAuth with content or even delete it. No luck. What am I doing wrong? I just saved the file that Safari gives you and tried to imported again 🤔 I'm out of ideas here... any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

How to fix password import errors on Apple passwords? Hello everyone, I just upgraded to iOS 18.0 and macOS Sequoia 15.0 and am attempting to import my passwords from my Keeper application to the new Apple Passwords application. However, when I followed the import steps on my 2023 MacBook Pro, I received the following error message: "Passwords could not import passwords from the CSV file because it is missing column labels." The CVS I exported from Keeper has the following headers: Label, User Name, Password, Website, and Note. Does anyone know what headers the Apple Passwords applicaiton is looking for so I can update the spreadsheet? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Safari Will Not Allow Password Export I can't export my Safari passwords. Safari > Settings > Passwords. Select three dots at bottom of password list and select: Export All Passwords, it gives me a warning with 2 grey boxes, I select 'Export Passwords', I use the default name and location as my desktop, but when I select Save.....no file is saved and I get no other prompts? Wanting to save the passwords so I can import them to 1Password.

Someone here might know an answer but you will probably get better results if you post your question in the Safari forum, not the Numbers for Mac OS forum. Good luck.

I am having this exact problem. I don't see that the question was posted in the Safari Forum. I'll do that now. This is frustrating!
