Mail app - zoom level of incoming mails

there are several answers to questions tackling the problem of micro-sized text in mail app on high resolution displays. most of them provide non-working solution like increasing the default font size - wich is obviously missing the point. the second "prominent" suggestion - to use system zoom via system settings / accessibility misses the point even more since the questions are about how to change the "zoom-level" of an open mail. almost every other app provides a way to zoom in ... e.g. via two-finger gesture on the track pad.

so I'm asking once again: is there a way to use a zoom-like functionality that works in a way the two-finger gesture does ?!

and if not: why not ??????????

Sorry but works on ALL 4 Apple computer in my stable of computers

3 of 4 running Ventura 13.3.1

4th with macOS 10.13.6 High Sierra and work there too

Then have a few suggestions ;

1 - Get Support Choose a product and we’ll find you the best solution.Start now and open an Apple Support Ticket as they are Apple Employees to deal will these types of issues .

2 - Product Feedback - Apple and make it known to Apple regarding this ongoing issue

3 - Have the computer evaluated by the Professionals who have the Special Hardware Software and Expertise to diagnose the issue and offer possible solutions

4 - Make an Appointment at the Apple Genius Bar and have them evaluate the computer

You know you can change the font used for message list and for actual mail messages, don't you?

Of course, this does not help if people insist on sending you "rich text" messages in 11pt font...

thx @Luis Sequeria1 and yes i know! but that's what 9 out of 10 people do - they use to send messages with predefined text styles. and there is nothing new about that. so every other mail client lets you zoom into the text without changing anything else. either by using keys or trackpad or something else ...
