Prime and Netflix not available

You need a current subscription for either and if your Apple TV is not configured to update the applications automatically, then you need to visit the tvOS app store and up date the applications yourself.

I have no issue accessing Netflix and I let Prime lapse on my 2021 Apple TV 4K+.

If you have an older ATV that doesn't have access to the store, you'll find it slowly becoming less capable. Third Party Streaming services such as Amazon and Netflix are dropping support. When they do, you lose access.
