How do I get rid of a rogue root folder in Documents on my Mac?

I recently converted from a MacBook Air to a MacBook Pro. For the most part, the process has gone swimmingly.

However, my documents folder (residing in iCloud) now has an annoying "first-level folder" in it named "Documents - [my] MacBook Pro", with all my previous documents folder contents residing in it.

This may be a dumb question, but given that I don't want to lose the associated contents, I want to be careful with this and measure twice cut once, so to speak. Is fixing this as simple as moving the contents of that folder out of that folder and into the root Documents, or is there something else I'm not thinking of?

If you sync with iCloud and use desktop and documents on multiple Mac’s you’ll see folders for each. Add your Desktop and Documents files to iCloud Drive - Apple Support
