Facetime Pixelation

So I recently got the iphone 14 plus and I noticed that when I am on facetime with someone who is in the dark the screen starts out black and then becomes VERY pixelated and there’s like a whole bunch of squares moving around the screen… if that makes sense. I had an iphone 11 before this and it never did that so is this just an Iphone 14 thing or possibly an issue with the phone all together ?
