Ventura Safari is hanging up

Ventura Safari is hanging when loading websites. No support suggestions are helping. This only started happening when I updated to Ventura. I’m updated to the latest version. I’ve updated my apple airport, assesses DNS and security settings but nothing is working.

Is this happening with just one site open or does it take a certain number before it occurs.

By "hanging" what do you mean exactly? I can open 16 sites in tabs and only get a brief pause in each site when I first go to it and it loads. I then can open another 22 sites as tabs and those pause a bit more as there are loading as I open each one. But none longer than 10 or so seconds. After all 38 sites have fully loaded there is no pause.

Do you have any extensions in Safari? If so which ones?

Have you installed and run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up", anti-virus or VPN apps on your Mac?

Download and run Etrecheck. Be sure to give it Full Disk access before running.

Copy and paste the results into your reply. Etrecheck is a diagnostic tool that was developed by one of the most respected users here in the ASC and recommended by Apple Support  to provide a snapshot of the system and help identify the more obvious culprits that can adversely affect a Mac's performance.

Copy the report

Then we can evaluate the report to see if we can determine the cause of the problem.

This happens on multiple sites (Paypal, HBO, Disney+, Gap, etc). Apple site works. Google works. My guess is it's some kind of security or cookie handoff. They just don't open. I jump on my wifi and open via my iPhone Safari browser, and they work just fine. Happens when I open the computer in Safe Mode, too. There are zero extensions. Run clean and optimized, etc, and nothing changes. I don't run VPN apps. This did not happen before the Ventura update, so something is up with Safari negotiating a handshake to a particular. Site.
