Safari bug with Ventura

I upgraded to Ventura 13.0 and after a day or so Safari became unusable. no websites open correctly or are useable. i took my computer into a local "apple" shop (we don't have an Apple store in my area) and they said it has to do with Ventura. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Jen,

There are a few things that can affect this including apps or profiles installed on it:

Remove a configuration profile from your Mac
1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, click Privacy and Security in the sidebar, then click Profiles on the right. (You may need to scroll down.)
2. Select a profile in the Profiles list, then click the Remove button .

If you don't have any of the above, reach out to Apple directly to get more help: Get Support

Take care.

Hello mizjenb,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about issues with Safari.

1. Please go through the troubleshooting here: If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn’t working as expected - Apple Support

If the issue remains, it would be good to know:

2. Does the issue also occur in safe mode or not?  How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

3. Does the issue also occur in a newly created test admin user or not? Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac - Apple Support

4. Also, are no pages loading, or is it only secure sites, like your email or bank, or only sites that need a pop-up to access, or specific public websites only?

Thanks.
