I have iPhone 13 Pro and. MacBook 13 inch M1 2020.
I need to find some old text messages from Nov/December of 2021.
I never deleted them.
I tried the way I used to dig up old messages but I guess it's been changed.

Provided that you have messages set to never delete, you should be able to scroll backward to find the messages or simply enter a term in the search bar (provided you know of some unique word in the message) or a contact name.
