I want NO page number on cover sheet in Mac pages

I have Pages 13.0. I have been unable to eliminate the “page 1” in the header of the Cover Sheet. Professor doesn’t want cover sheet numbered.

I may or may not have correctly created a new section after the cover sheet. But the previous answer for this query hasn’t worked. Thanks for your help.

If your cover sheet is on the first page of a section, you can visit the Documents panel > Section and select Hide on first page of section to suppress headers and footers. On the second page of the section, you can just resume page numbering from the cover sheet (e.g. page 2), or you can alter the numbering sequence (and even the page numbering style) with a Start at: page numbering choice.
