Apple Pay works just fine in stores, websites, apps except when I use my Apple Credit Card that is the default payment card. All other cards work fine. It used to work fine until a few months ago. No is declined every time.

Apple Pay with Apple Card does work only when using the Apple Store App.(not App Store)

The same happened to me and I already fix it. Just go to Settings/Payments & Shipping and verify your apple card (in case it isn’t verified) and that’s it 👍🏼
I’m having the same issue. It just started after my account was updated with a co-owner. I can make purchases with the virtual card number ( websites), but not using it as apple pay. Tried several locations and even the Apple Store won’t work. My other credit card’s working fine, so I had to list it as default. Called Apple Support and Golden Sachs. They don’t know why it won’t work.
Removed card, reinstalled and even erased and reinstalled my iphone back to a week earlier backup. No luck!
Yes it is. To note, this has been happening for a few months and even after upgrading from iPhone 12 to 14.
What steps have you taken to remedy the situation?
Did they have you log in and out of Apple ID/iCloud account?
Do you have more than one Apple ID? Did you change the email address associated with an Apple ID?

One Apple ID has never been changed, and same email.
Yes, you get it. I tried both support as well. Cannot figure it out.
They said they would get back with me crickets………..
erased reset changed all i can and it still is blocked.
