Why does Marketplace still crash the ipad all these years later? It’s a pain !. It’s bad enough that I have a faulty iPad that needs rebooting on almost every pickup (wifi not connected problem) that Apple deemed insignificant.
If your iPad is not working properly, it is perhaps both understandable and expected that Apps may similarly malfunction.
You would be best advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where you will be able to demonstrate that problem. The Apple technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad; if your iPad requires repair, you’ll be in the best possible place to explore your available remedies and options:

Only one app crashes the iPad. The same one that others have complained about for years. I contacted the online problem sorters about my original problem and got nowhere useful. I have seen what others do in this situation and it now seems a sensible logical move-palm it off and start again, you shouldn’t need to spend time fixing a new product or a risky factory reset. My wife’s iPad is still in warranty but a password appeared on the leak list, so we changed it- that one appeared as well!. They even had her Apple password. Thoughts?.
Contact the app developer. That is not an Apple product.
