Photos App - Not sorting by date

Hi,

Is there a way to contact those who work on this app?

I can upload images and make albums and yet none of them are sorted by the date the photos were taken. Is this app deleting the metadata from my photos? I am trying to understand why a Photo app does not sort images by the date the images were taken. These images come from older point and shoot cameras, iPhones, new DSLR's and so on, and it doesn't look like that's being accounted for. If there is AI behind this app, it's NOT working.

Please fix this app. We are paying $2,000.00/$3,000.00 dollars for these computers so we do expect the app that come preinstalled to work as they're supposed to. So many things have been taken away from these Macs already and now, those of us who owned Macs since early 2000's feel absolutely screwed. Not everyone is willing to subscribe, or has time to learn Lightroom, so they have to reply on system apps!

Please fix this app.

If you want to request improvements from Apple, you can send send feedback to Apple using the feedback form: Feedback - Photos - Apple

On my Macs the albums I create can easily be sorted by the date the photos have been taken.

I am just selecting the album in the sidebar in Photos, then ctrl-click it and use the command "Sort". Or use the "Sort" command in the View menu.

If photos taken with several different cameras are not sorted correctly by the date taken, I would check, if the clocks in the cameras are set correctly, including the timezone. You may need to tell Photos how the clock in tne camera has been set, using the "Image > Adjust date and Time" command for the photos, that have been imported from a camera, where the clock has been set to a different timezone.
