I don’t want Continuous Playback in Apple Podcasts on my iPhone, but it automatically keeps getting set to ‘on’ in settings. How do I stop this permanently?

Until they change this behavior in an update, my workaround is to always set the sleep timer (crescent moon and zzz symbol, located at the lower right corner) to ‘when current episode ends’. It does not do this automatically, so I’ll do it with every new session.

After years & years of this happening I have totally lost faith that it will ever be fixed.
I could be wrong, but I think what switches the “continuous playback” on is when you use the “play next” feature to cue up the next podcast. At least, that’s how it’s working for me. Super annoying, I wish Apple would fix it!

for a couple of years now and I have to go back in and turn it back off at least once a week, sometimes every day. I’m using v 16.6 and with each update I hope it’s fixed, but not yet. I don’t suppose anyone would know if there’s even a plan to fix it?
I never use the play next feature and have the same problem, but I will check to see if this is also on by default.
I don’t know if it is the cause Travis mentioned but certainly that is something I do.
This is super annoying. It should stay off when I turn it off.
I have this issue for years. I noticed it always happens after I connect the iPhone to Homepod mini...
Had this problem for so long and sought solution for as long.
I’ve to toggle it at least weekly. There must be some trigger or solution out there?
