Hello blessed276,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. We want to help sort this issue you're experiencing when using the Messages app. Allow us to assist. If you're not receiving iMessages, we have a great resource you can review that has troubleshooting steps you can try. This usually helps sort issues related to not being able to receive iMessages: If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

1. Update your device to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS if needed.
2. In the Settings app, tap Cellular. Make sure that your phone line is turned on. If you use multiple SIMs, make sure that the phone number you want to use is selected and turned on.
3. In the Settings app, tap Messages. Turn iMessage off and then back on.
4. Tap Send & Receive.
5. Tap the phone number that you want to use with Messages.

If you still need help
* Try to restart your iPhone or iPad.
* Check your network connection. To send a message as iMessage or MMS, you need a cellular data or Wi-Fi connection. To send an SMS message, you need cellular network connection. If you turn on Wi-Fi Calling, you can send SMS messages over Wi-Fi.
* Check with your carrier to see if the type of message you’re trying to send, like MMS or SMS, is supported.
* If you’re trying to send group MMS messages on an iPhone, go to Settings > Messages and turn on MMS Messaging. If you don't see an option to turn on MMS Messaging or Group Messaging on your iPhone, then your carrier might not support this feature.
* Make sure that your device has enough space to receive images and videos.
* Make sure that you entered the correct phone number or email address for the contact.

If your issue is not related to iMessage (blue bubbles), but instead SMS text messages (green bubbles), you might need to contact your carrier. They'll have to confirm if you have MMS messaging available for your account. This resource explains the difference between iMessages and SMS messages: What is the difference between iMessage and SMS/MMS? - Apple Support

We hope this information does help you. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Take care.
