Can my Mac mini understand that is connected to Wifi via the Ethernet cable?

Hi,

I have a Mac mini that I have connected to my router. I also have an access point connected to the router. This is office-type access point that is in bridge mode. My phones and ipads connect via this access point. They all get IP addresses in the same subnet.

When I try to use some of the continuity features, the Mac asks me turn on Wifi.

I would like to keep the network topology as it is. I have all the high bandwidth clients connected via cable, and I have the access point placed for maximising the coverage. The Mac mic mini is placed next to the router, and the access point is further away.

Is there a way to tell it that it is connected to wifi, just via the cable?
