I have recently discovered that when I set the timer and then lock my phone somehow the timer gets turned off. I’m not sure if I am hitting it while the phone is locked or what is happening. This should not happen if my phone is locked, fo correct?
It makes sense to me that you should be able to turn the timer off from the lock screen.
I just double-checked it myself. Swipe on that notification and select "Clear". The notification will go away (along with the "X") but the timer will continue and will go off when it's done.

The timer will not stop even if you lock the iPhone. Please see the pic below
Thank you all for the answers. I thought maybe it was a bug but turns out it is supposed to respond that way. I’ll just have to be more careful.

That seems as if it would be pretty easy for you to test. What happens when you try?
So, I am able to turn the timer off while my phone is on the lock screen. Is it supposed to work that way?
