tvOS 16.4.1 and Samsung TV

tvOS 16.4.1 seems to have done something strange with the audio on my Samsung TV. The moment sound starts on the Apple TV, the volume on the Samsung TV auto drops to 0 and stays visible on the display. Eventually it will disappear but then flash that the TV volume is 0 off and on. I should note that my Apple TV normally has sound output to the HomePod next to it. The only thing that has changed is that tvOS has updated.

Ive tried rebooting the Apple TV and also the Samsung TV with no change so far. Im also going to try charging the Samsung TV remote but im not sure thats what is causing this. Unplugging the power for the Apple TV might be the only viable fix I have at this moment. Anyone else having weird issues with a Samsung TV after this last Apple TV update?
