Sync iTunes Library to iPhone 14

Hi ppl. Tricky subject. I've got my iTunes library running on iPod Touch 7th generation, syncing from iMac late 2009 with iOS High Sierra 10.13.6 and iTunes 12.8.3.1 (the more uptodate iOS and iTunes I can run on this iMac), and I was thinking on buying an iPhone 14 and sync my iTunes lib to it.

It may no be easy 'cos I had big trouble for this iTunes to recognise my iPod Touch, had to ask for help to Apple support and after a couple of hours and a few tests I read an alert from Finder, the High Sierra was missing a driver to fully connect to the iPod. Driver downloaded, case solved, and the library was synced.

I have another iMac (Late 2015, running Mojave) but it's for music creation so I prefer to keep the iTunes lib on the older one (although I could easily put the library on an external drive, did that before, no issues).

So the tricky question.

Does anybody knows if I High Sierra and iTunes 12.8.3.1 will recognise iPhone 14 so I can transfer my Library to it?

Appreciate some help on this issue in case anyone knows. Surely enough I won't buy an iPhone 14 if I can't use it to listen to my iTunes Lib.

Thanks

Francis Mann

I don’t see any limitation regarding Mac OS version here→Use iTunes to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer - Apple Support, so I would expect it to work, but I can’t say I’ve tested it.
