How do I get Siri to repeat my text messages prior to sending them?

Try Settings>Siri & Search>Announce Notifications>Reply Without Confirmation and turn it off.

Siri is not reading back my text message dictation anymore. I used to be able to ask Siri to send a message and she would read that message back to me before asking if I want to send it or edit it. Now, Siri just asks if I want to send it without reading back the message to me first. I want to turn on the setting that lets her read my message back to me before I send it so I know what I’m sending. I’ve gone into my settings and turned on “prefer spoken responses”, and I’ve also made sure that “automatically send messages” is turned off. This hasn’t fix the problem. Siri will still sometimes read my message back to me but is inconsistent. However, this tells me that Siri still has the ability to repeat messages before sending. How can I configure Siri to always read my message dictation back to me before sending?

Siri doesn’t read back voice to text messages After an IOS update Siri no longer reads back text messages and only says “send it.” When my phone is connected to my car or headphones Siri will read by my text messages but when my phone is not connected to any other devices she won’t read back what I had said. I have already made sure that automatically send messages is turned off and I also have prefer spoken responses turned on. As a person with a disability I am greatly affected by this change as I do not always have my phone close by or within reach. There needs to be an easy fix for this as this change has to affect a large number of people with disabilities.

I do not have Announce Notifications. Any other suggestions? I have an Iphone 12 mini.

I have it on my iPhone 11 Pro. I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't have it.

I have Announce Calls and Allow Notifications. Neither have Reply Without Confirmation. Oh well! Thanks for your suggestions!
