UPGRADING FCPX TO USE WITH HIGH SIERRA

Hi everyone. I've just taken the plunge and updated my OS from Sierra to High Sierra (10.13.6). Success. I have FCPX 10.4 and would like to update that too to the latest version compatible with my OS, which I believe is 10.4.6. How can I do that please as the Apple Store will only let me update to 10.6.5 but I need OS 11.5.1 for that, which my MBP will not run. The App Store says I can download the latest version compatible with my OS...really? How?

With thanks for any help/instructions.

Login to the App Store with the Apple ID that would have been used to purchase FCPX.

Then click on your account at the lower left, and look for purchases.

You should now be able to download the latest version available for the OS you are currently running.
