Car Audio Bluetooth Apple Carplay & charging

I would like to connect my iPhone with my car stereo just for the charging purpose and I want to use Bluetooth simultaneously to play my music

But my car stereo automatically connects to my phone using Carplay every time I connect it with a cable

I don’t want to play music using Carplay because that doesn’t support the Equalizers

Could you please help me in this case
