Space bar not working on Safari running on MacOS Ventura

The space bar is recognized when used in MS Chrome. But on the Safari browser it is not. At first, I thought it was a problem with the Wordpress editor. But then I tried a Google search on Safari and had the same problem. How do I get Apple to address a problem directly which is crystal clearly their responsibility instead of being directed towards this forum? I'm using Chrome entering this so there is no issue with the spacebar here. The problem with that is a separate issue: After a couple of days, the Chrome browser refuses to launch for some unknown reason; to continue using it I have to delete it, re-download it and re-install it. I did not have these issues with my 13 year old Macbook Pro running El Capitan. Now with this new 2022 Macbook Pro and the latest op system, there is a whole host of new issues including this one (though it does run a lot faster than the mid 2009 laptop).

Most Space Bar issues are resolved by going to :  > System Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard > Full Keyboard Access. Make sure this switch is off.

Not sure if this is the problem you are having, but definitely check it out.
