When I go to use my camera on Snapchat, TikTok, or BeReal, it says “go to settings to allow (app) for camera access” but then when I go to settings, it doesn’t give me the option to allow camera access

Camera access to snapchat Hey there so when I go into Snapchat it says I need to allow access to camera and takes me to settings. I don’t know how this suddenly happened because I’ve been using Snapchat for more than a year now. There is no option to change anything in the place it takes me. Snapchat Camera Permission Ever since I updated my IPhone to the IOS 17 Software, every time I go on Snapchat I receive a pop-up telling me to allow camera access but when I click the button provided it takes me to the IPhone settings and there’s no option to allow camera access. A common answer to this question I’ve seen is going into the privacy and then clicking on the camera app and then allowing permission through there but I did that and there still wasn’t an option to allow access. Please let me know if you know how it fix this. TIA

Allowing Camera Access To Snapchat My snapchat is saying i need to allow camera access through settings and i go into the privacy and try selecting the camera but it doesn’t show up that snapchat is wanting access. i just don’t know what to do

Hi Emdoug,

Thanks for posting here in Apple Support Communities. You'll need to go to Settings > Privacy & Security to grant access to your camera. This article will walk you through doing so: Control access to hardware features on iPhone - Apple Support

If you're still having trouble, make sure that you don't have restrictions enabled for any of these apps.
