Apple TV Download to play later so there is no buffering?

i have Apple TV, setup on my ps5 and my iPhone. I need to download a movie to a the PS5 so that I can watch it without the crazy buffering. My paid for movies are useless to me because my internet isn’t fast enough to keep up with the download, so I’d like to download the whole thing and watch it when it’s done.

I can watch it from my phone easy enough, but my interest net quality isn’t good enough for screen sharing either.

The Apple TV app on PlayStation is streaming-only. It has no method to use downloaded files.

The Apple TV app on iPhone can use downloaded files. Users can use the AirPlay protocol to stream that from iPhone to a device that is AirPlay-enabled. That device can be an Apple TV box, or select third party devices (currently not including PlayStation, but including some smart TVs).
