i am a new user of apple products. I've been trying very hard to get an iphone 14 pro max. but now i'm having a problem with device locking due to another icloud account holder logging into my device. i have requested support from apple many times but till now i still can't fix my device because apple's privacy policy requires receipt of purchase receipt... i tried to contact a person My friend bought the machine for me to find out information about the forum and then found it too difficult, because the real life process is not so simple. the problems I'm having are because I personally haven't looked at what I have. I understand this policy of apple to protect the interests of customers. and whether apple can collect information from my device. I will gladly do that and provide all that can prove I am the owner of the device…this is my personal opinion. I also see many of you have the same situation as me and the device is a real brick.

Then I'm afraid you're stuck. Your friend bought the phone for you as a private sale. They don't, and will likely never have access to the original Apple receipt.

Do what you can to return the phone to the seller and get your money back.

It sounds like you have a phone that is activation locked. It will be forever useless unless you can get the Apple ID and password the phone is asking for to unlock it.

Whoever this friend it who bought the phone for you, they should bring it back to the seller and have them unlock it. If they won't do that, then they should get your money back.

The thing with activation lock is, it really isn't your device. It still belongs to the person it's locked to. And a personal sale isn't proof of purchase.

I've been trying to find support for a few days now until I see users in the national portals I find myself ineligible for apple. I just wanted to say my opinion on the issue of equipment warranties for buyers. hope apple will have more measures to verify users. because apple products have always been something very good that is hard to get in my country.
