iOS Devices not showing in Finder Sidebar: Monterey 12.6.4; iOS 16.4

None of my iOS devices on the same wi-fi network are showing in the Finder sidebar.

it does not work with the USB-cable plugged in either

Previously this had worked perfectly.

Troubleshooting attempts: restart Mac and iOS devices; uncheck and recheck box in Finder preferences; reset Mac pram; restart wi-fi router.

Mac OS 12.6.4

iOS 16.4

Hardware: MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2021, MacBookPro18,1), iPhone14 pro-max

Device iPhone6 plus with iOS 12.5.7 is showing in finder (of same MAC Monterrey) via WIFI and USB-cable.
