Wifi disconnecting after IOS 18.1.1 when Idle

I work for a University and supports the network infrastructure. The past few weeks we've been hearing lots of people having trouble connecting to the Wifi. Upon investigating, it looks like devices with 18.1.1 or later are dropping the Wifi when the device is idle for about 10-15 seconds. Generally, it will reconnect when the device is active again but no always. If you go into the Wifi settings and manually re-join the network, it then connects.

Has anyone else seen this issue and/or know any way around this? It seems to be causing a lot of un-needed stress on the Wifi environment with 1,000's of devices constantly trying to re-connect.
