Good morning all. When I open Maps on macOS Ventura, it defaults to a view of California centered on San Francisco. I would like to change this opening view to something more relevant to myself, eg the Acadian parishes of Louisiana. I'm sure there is a way to do this, but after piddling around a bit I've not been able to figure it out. I'd deeply appreciate anyone who can advise how to do this.

Amazing! I tried cmd-L, no movement, so I went to Location and found that while I'd enabled Maps for location services, I had the service turned OFF. I turned it on, and it's all resolved. Thanks for the nudge in the correct direction!
Oh gosh. I should have asked you if you had Location Services enabled. lol Glad you got it working.
FWIW, if you do a search for the area you are looking for, Maps should reopen to that location until you change it.
Thanks! Yeah, I guess I was just trying to avoid that step. It seems that it should wake up in my current location, rather than Apple's corporate offices.
You're welcome. If you choose "Go to Current Location" or press cmd+L then as before, it will reopen there unless you change it.
