Apple maps showing top down view

Maps only showing the top down view doesn’t show you the 3-D view or what I would call the navigation view

No way to tilt Apple Maps and cannot zoom in close! Supposedly there is a slider on the lower right hand corner of Apple Maps that would allow me to change the tilt. But there is none, and can find no options for showing it or not showing it. All there is in the bottom right hand corner is a circle with arrows in the four compass points that can be moved left or right, and with a button in the middle to switch between 3D and 2D. I thought perhaps that the button can be tilted, but no go. Also, it is not possible to zoom in very close at all to objects. What's with that? Why does Apple limit the tilting and the zooming in? Makes no sense.

maps does not speak directions during navigation Apple Maps does not speak directions during navigation. This recently started I would say since the first of the year.

the apple map is in terrain mode with landscape impossible to read The Apple Map shows in dark illegible mode can not delete the ap and get the apple map in normal mode
