Apple Music on Echo device

I’ve always been able to just go to my Apple Music icon on my phone and play my lists in whatever order I wish. I click on the Amazon Alexa device and connect it to Bluetooth then hit my playlists on the my phone app and that’s it. Now when I go to my lists nothing plays through my Echo device. It shows on the song as if it is playing through but it isn’t. It’s silent. Everything else looks ok, it is all linked and there are no updates to be had. If I ask Alexa to play my apple playlist it just plays random songs from it in no particular order so I have no control over what is playing and which order it is played. Why has this suddenly happened?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand you're running into an issue playing Apple Music with your Alexa device. To help resolve this, we'd like to have you unlink and then set Alexa up again. You can see how to unlink here:

1. Open the Amazon Alexa app.

2. In the lower-right corner, tap More.

3. Tap Settings.

4. Scroll down and tap Music & Podcasts.

5. Under Services, tap Apple Music.

6. Tap Disable Skill.
