After updating to Ventura, I can't replace iPhone 11 calendar with Mac calendar

After upgrading my Mac to Ventura, my Mac calendar went crazy. Fortunately, I had archived my Mac calendar before the upgrade to Ventura, so I was able to delete the haywire calendar and import the archived calendar.

But I can't get the calendar to load on my iPhone 11 (IOS 16.3.1). There were multiple versions of the calendar on my iPhone, so I deleted them. I want to replace what's on my iPhone with what's on my Mac. But the current Mac calendar won't download. Sometimes after connecting my iPhone via USB to my Mac, the system wants to "sync," and tried to delete everything on my Mac, but I avoid that by canceling the sync.

I tried to reboot in safe mode multiple times, to no avail.

I also reinstalled Ventura, to no avail.

I don't like to use iCloud because sometimes we lose internet access. I want everything on my Mac.

Help please! I would like the current calendar on my iphone so I can schedule appointments when I'm out and about.

Hi Anne.Onnimus,

Thanks for connecting with us here in Apple Support Communities. You've tried some great troubleshooting so far to sync your Calendars. Let's also have you take a look at the following article as it may help to resolve the issue you're facing: Sync contacts and calendars onto your Mac and iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Replacing the contacts and calendars on your device

Syncing updates the new or changed information in the contacts and calendars on your device. At times you may want to just replace all the contact and calendar information on your device with the information on your Mac.
1. Connect your device to your Mac.
You can connect your device using a USB or USB-C cable or using a Wi-Fi connection. See Sync content between your Mac and iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch over Wi-Fi.
2. In the Finder  on your Mac, select the device in the Finder sidebar.
3. Click Info in the button bar.
The button bar showing Info selected.
4. In the “Advanced Replace information on this device” section, do any of the following:
* Select the “Replace Contacts” checkbox to replace the contacts on your device.
* Select the “Replace Calendars” checkbox to replace the calendars on your device.
5. When you’re ready to sync, click Apply.
Your contact and calendar information is updated on your device each time you connect it to your Mac.

Kind regards.

Keisha_Keisha,

Thank you so much for responding!

I've been through the steps outlined in your links and response multiple times, without success. Sometimes the "Replace Calendars" box gets unselected when I start the process. Other times, I select the "Replace Calendars" box but no calendars get downloaded onto my iPhone. At least the process didn't try to delete all the calendar entries on my Mac, which happened several times before I aborted the process.

Do you have any other suggestions or should I call Apple Support?

Thank you for your input!
