freeform sharing / syncing not working.

I have put a considerable amount of time into a number of Freeform boards for my maths gcse revision and I am worried I might lose them. The boards I create on my iPad Pro wont sync to my iCloud. And when I try to share them as a pdf as a backup it tells me it can’t share because it hasn’t finished syncing and it never finishes. I have read that signing out of Apple ID and back in can fix the sync problem but users report losing their boards. I’m worried that even if I do a hard backup of my iPad to iTunes then the files might still be lost if they haven’t synced beforehand.
