Sort option not available in Photo App on iPhone

I can't manage to sort the photos on my iPhone 14 pro in chronological order using the photo app.

All help pages describe that you can reach a menu in an album via the 3 dots on the top right, where you can select by which criterion the pictures should be sorted. But this menu item simply does not exist on my iPhone.

I can select month to group all pictures of a month, or according to years or days.

If I select "All photos", about 1000 photos appear wildly mixed up and there is no way to have them sorted.

Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong?
